RFANS Board of Directors – Call for Nominations (2026)

The Recreation Facility Association of Nova Scotia (RFANS) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Board of Directors.

RFANS is seeking individuals who bring a balance of skills, experience, and commitment to support the mission and strategic priorities of the Association. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong leadership and governance capabilities, particularly in areas related to recreation facility management, operations, and the non-profit sector.

Positions Available

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Fundy Regional Representative
  • Valley Regional Representative
  • Central Regional Representative
  • Member at Large

All positions are for two-year terms (2026–2028). Elections will take place at the RFANS Annual General Meeting on June 11, 2026.

Who Should Apply

We encourage nominations of individuals who:

  • Meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the RFANS by-laws
  • Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and integrity
  • Have knowledge of recreation facilities, governance, or related sectors
  • Are committed to supporting the recreation facility community across Nova Scotia

Nomination Requirements

To be considered, nominations must include:

  • A completed Board of Directors Nomination Application Form
  • A cover letter outlining the nominee’s interest and the skills they would bring
  • A current résumé

Additional Information

  • Current Board members seeking re-election are not required to be nominated but must notify the Nominating Committee of their intent.
  • Elections will be conducted at the AGM on June 11, 2026.
