RECREATION FACILITIES IN EMERGENCY RESPONSE: What Operators Need to Know

RFANS members, please join us in November for an educational webinar with the NS Department of Emergency Management and the Canadian Red Cross focused on the role of recreation facilities during an emergency activation.

Representatives from DEM and the Canadian Red Cross will lead the conversation with support from facility operators who have been through emergency activations themselves. They’ll share practical experience from events in HRM, Shelburne County, Pictou County and CBRM including what facility managers need to know about their role and responsibilities when their building is called into service.

This session is intended for facility operators and managers to help them better understand what to expect during an activation and how their facility fits into the broader emergency response.
