NEW! Building Maintenance Level 1 Course

This course is offered in partnership with the Alberta Association of Recreation Facility Personnel (AARFP), where you will gain valuable knowledge in various areas crucial to facility management. Completing this course will enable you to effectively manage facilities and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.


This one-and-a-half-day course covers the following areas of facility operation: preventive maintenance, life cycle planning, thermodynamics, HVAC/boiler operation and mechanical maintenance, basic carpentry, painting, basic electricity, plumbing, and facility safety.

4. Painting techniques, material selection, and surface preparation.
5. Electricity, energy-saving practices
6. Workplace safety

Participants will receive the Building Maintenance Level 1 Certificate.
